WalkWater LLC is looking for an experienced Network Engineer responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting data, voice and network security throughout the company WAN and LAN infrastructure
Job responsibilities
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN tunnels, MPLS, load balancers)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Maintain documentation of configurations, network design, security policies and access information.
- Research, analyze, design, test, and implement networks systems
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and root cause network outages
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Cisco CCNA or higher certification
- 3 – 5 years of related work experience in network administration working with Cisco and Juniper routers, switches and firewalls
- Must have strong routing and switching skills including understanding of VPN, VLAN, Policy Based Routing, Spanning Tree, ACLs, QoS, WAN optimization and acceleration
- Expert in common network diagnostics tools: Ping, traceroute, wireshark, CDP, port scan
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Knowledge of Visio and other documentation applications
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities
Informatica Developer:
- Deep experience in data warehousing concepts and data analysis
- Experience writing stored procedures and performance tuning
- Expert PL/SQL development and experience working in Teradata v13/14
- Informatica v9.1 or higher
- Design source to target mappings and other documentation
- Function as a technical expert in the design, development, modification and debugging of data models, databases, etc.
- Work as part of a team to elicit, document, and finalize business requirements (e.g. process modeling, data, business rules, functions, etc.)
- Communicate with developers and business customers to ensure that customer requirements are correctly translated to appropriate data design specifications.
Informatica Administrator
- This opportunity is for individuals who have Hands-on experience in data warehouse design and development.
- The Role demands more than a typical ETL lead role as it interacts outwardly on projects with architects, PM’s, OPS, data modelers, developers, admins, DBA’s and testers.
- This is a hands-on delivery-focused role, and the individual will be responsible for technical delivery of data warehouse and data integration projects
- 7-10 years Hands on experience with Informatica ETL in designing and developing ETL processes based on multiple sources using ETL tools
- Experience in Architecting end to end ETL solutions
- Hands on UNIX experience. Scripting (e.g. shell, perl, alerts, cron, automation)
- Expert at all aspects of relational database design
- Experience working with engineering team with respect to database-related performance tuning, writing of complex SQL, indexing, etc.
Cognos Developer/ Business Analyst
- Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirement.
- Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad-hoc access to datasets
- Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop models to drive the business
- Translate business requirements into specification that will be used to implement required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data source
- Designing and implement BI reporting applications.
- Identifies critical areas of the data structure and recommends improvements to existing reports and reporting processes.
